Marjorie A. Hoy memorial park now open
The Marjorie A. Hoy memorial park - Orange Lake Overlook and trail - on 441 just south of McIntosh on the hill on the left - just past the Dollar General on the right, is now open. More information and trail map here : Alachua Conservation Trust — Orange Lake Overlook Guide
The trail goes around down by the lake - the best time to get there is before dawn - watching the sun come up - it can be spectacular, and also when there is a full moon rising. They used to have a huge orange grove there. The trail is not a paved trail - and is not flat. This is run by the Alachua Conservation Trust.
