Guided Tours on the Silver River

Photograph birds, monkeys, alligators, turtles, otters, hogs, and deer throughout the seasons on the Silver River with Captain Peggy. Each season is different and interesting. The boat can take 6 people, but for photographers I like to keep it at 4 maximum for the most comfort with our camera gear. The trips are about 4 hours, and you can also swim, snorkel or dive. When water levels are high enough, we also go on Cross Creek to Lake Lochloosa and Orange Lake to photograph Bald Eagles, Osprey, and wading birds. The cost for the trip for 1-4 people is $120- for over 4, it is $30@.

This is last night's total lunar eclipse as seen from 8 miles west of Bozeman. It was 3.5 hours from start to finish. Hope all of you got to see it in person. For those of you on the other side of the planet or who missed it, there will be another one in about 3 years.

Great Time To Visit UF's Butterfly Rain Forest

[img_assist|nid=22|title=|desc=|link=node|align=left|width=100|height=80] I was at the Butterfly Rain Forest Thursday morning, March 20th and have never experienced conditions at the exhibit so good for photographing the butterflies. The flower gardens are in fantastic shape with flowers blooming profusely throughout the the exhibit. The butterflies are very active and in good condition, and a few new and interesting specimens of African butterflies have been released. I imagine these conditions are attributable to the mild weather and cool mornings we have been experiencing lately.
